The Summer Farmers Markets are at The Summit Tuesdays & Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 4 through October 1, 2016. Find market favorites like fresh local produce, handcrafted items, grass-fed meat, eggs, pasta, sauces, cooking oils, baked goods, flowers and more. Located in the center plaza near Vans. If you would like to host a booth or tent at any of the markets, please contact Shirley’s Farmers’ Markets at 775-746-5024. Fireside at The Summit

In the Courtyard between Williams-Sonoma and Lululemon Athletica
September 8, 6 p.m. - October 20, 8:00 pm

Celebrate the fall season Fireside at The Summit! We have partnered with the Reno Philharmonic and other musical groups and restaurants to host Fireside musical events that include live music, drinks and light bites every other Thursday (Sept. 8 & 22, and Oct. 6 & 20) from 6-8 p.m. by the fire pit near Williams-Sonoma and lululemon athletica. Relax by the fire with an evening of music, cocktails from Miguel’s, and sweet and savory bites from Williams-Sonoma. Music will include performances from the RPAK Mariachi Group (Sept. 8), Long Story Short (Sept. 22), Good Time Music (Oct. 6) and Great Basin Brass (Oct. 20). The events are free and open to the public.

Pink Pumpkin Festival

Center Plaza near Vans
October 1, 9 a.m. - 2:00 pm

Join us for our annual Pink Pumpkin Festival Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the center plaza next to Vans. This will be the final Farmers Market of the season and will support breast cancer awareness and will benefit the Renown Health Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund through public donations. The family-friendly harvest event is free and open to the public. Event activities will include live entertainment, fall farmers market vendors featuring pink Porcelain Doll pumpkins, face painting, cotton candy, children’s activities, health information booths, contests giveaways and more.

Kid's Haunted House Decorating Class

October 8, 10am - 11:00 am

Join Williams-Sonoma Saturday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. Here's everything young builders need to create a Halloween mystery mansion. Inside the box is a sturdy base for the house, which is easily constructed from precut gingerbread cookie pieces and ready-to-mix royal icing "glue." Once the house is built, kids will have a blast customizing it with the included candy decorations.

Alton Brown Cookbook Club

October 12, 6:30pm

Meet Up and Eat Up at Williams-Sonoma Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. Featuring Alton Brown's newest cookbook, “Everyday.” The cost is $75 and includes a copy of the cookbook, a culinary demonstration by one of their culinary specialist and a generous tasting of all the recipes prepared. Wild Women

2016 Wild Women - Many Moons

October 14 - October 16

Friday through Sunday, Oct. 14-16, The Wild Women Artist will host an art exhibit inside space 628, next to Jos. A Bank. The artists will partner with Skipolini’s Italian, providing the wine and catering at the artists’ reception. A portion of every sale is donated to the Renown Healing Arts Institute for Breast Cancer.

Make reservations at Williams-Sonoma Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. for a 1-hour class. Flu Shots

Healthcare experts from Renown Health will provide flu and pneumonia shots to the public at The Summit Inside Space #238 (next to Lane Bryant). Flu shots are offered: • At no out-of-pocket costs to Medicare beneficiaries (Part B), members of Senior Care Plus or Hometown Health fully insured HMO and PPO plans. • All other persons can receive flu shots for $30 and pneumonia shots for $80. • Flu shots are available to children ages 9-17 with a parent present. Kids ages 6 months to 8 years old can receive a flu shot by appointment only, call 775-982-5433.
